Teddies for Tragedies
A number of branches make sewing kits and teddies for children affected by tragedies worldwide.

Teddies for Baptisms ~ Cheddar, Wrington, Christ Church Nailsea, Wraxall and Yatton branches
A smaller version of Teddies for Tragedies, these knitted teddies are given to
children at their baptisms.

Newborn Bags ~ Christ Church branch, Nailsea
Christ Church Nailsea has been reaching out to families in their toddler groups by making Baby Bags. Using a Mothers Union bag they contain a knitted cardigan for the baby, toiletries for mum, a Christian book for the siblings, information leaflets about MU and a congratulations card.

Baptism Packs ~ Bridgwater
Bridgwater branch create Baptism Packs for presentation at baptisms. The packs contain a Hand-in-Hand booklet, a knitted teddy, a prayer cube, and a holding cross.

Help at Pre-school ~ Cleeve and Claverham
Cleeve and Claverham branch help at pre-school so that they can keep in touch with younger people. The toddlers and parents are invited to a spring outreach where music is played and parents and children are provided with lunch.

Under-5s Picnic, and Fellowship Lunches ~ Cleeve and Claverham
The branch also puts on a summer picnic for the under-fives and a fellowship lunch, once a month,
for the older members of the villages.
